Job Responsibilities:
- Join a high-volume, hospital-based general surgery practice that provides comprehensive care for both elective and emergency general surgery patients.
- Manage a wide spectrum of general surgical conditions, with emphasis on minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic-assisted) approaches to abdominal, hernia, biliary, GI, and acute care surgery.
- Participate in an emergency general surgery service, including shared call coverage, with access to advanced technology and subspecialty support.
- Maintain an active elective surgical practice in alignment with the surgeon’s clinical interests and expertise.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncology, gastroenterology, and critical care, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the education of medical students and general surgery residents in the operating room, clinic, and didactic settings.
- Contribute to institutional quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based surgical practices.

Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school; successful completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
- Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
- Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Advanced GI, or comparable training is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in laparoscopic and/or robotic surgical techniques, particularly in acute care and elective general surgery.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a commitment to high-quality surgical care.
- Demonstrated interest in academic surgery, teaching, and clinical excellence within a collaborative team environment.
