Airbus DS Government Solutions Inc is currently seeking a full-time, on-site Materials Planner located in Plano, Texas.

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Planner to join our team. As a Materials Planner at Airbus DSGS, you will be responsible for developing and executing inventory strategies and production scheduling that optimizes efficiency and throughput to meet program objectives. You will be expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to ensure timely and accurate supply and demand forecasts and will utilize inventory control best practices and analytical processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Duties

• Assess material needs, track lead times, and anticipate shortages for both new product launches and existing production lines.
• Work closely with procurement teams to evaluate make-or-buy scenarios optimizing the most efficient procurement and manufacturing strategies.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to enhance supply chain operations and ensure accurate data within ERP systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams on demand dates, production schedules, and delivery timing.
• Inform stakeholders of any material delays impacting production schedules.
• Request vendor updates and delivery times in support of procurement if necessary.
• Interface with manufacturing floor to ensure smooth operations and mitigate material issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a supply chain role specifically in materials planning, procurement, or production scheduling within Aerospace & Defense.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar field; or experience equivalent.
• Proven knowledge of MRP/ERP systems best practices (Deltek Costpoint preferred).
• Familiar with common processes and procedures in a production scheduling environment.
• Experience in facilitating cross-functional collaboration and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of Bills of Material structures and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of inventory planning, supply and demand, production scheduling, performance metrics, and project life cycle.
• Ability to multitask with multiple changes in priorities throughout a project.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be U.S. persons (citizens/permanent residents)
