Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Medical
• Post-Surgical Ortho Care
• Spinal surgery recovery
• Trauma overflow

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Assisting patients with all aspects of personal hygiene, eating & drinking
• Taking vital signs ( temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and other parameters as instructed).
• Providing comfort measures, including utilizing pressure relieving devices, range of motion (ROM) activities, and applying simple protective dressings.

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 34 beds (14 private rooms, 20 semi-private rooms)

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as a STNA is optional after employment in this position).
• 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
