Job Description

Job Title : Surgical Technician - General Surgery (Contract)

Overview :

Medical Edge Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Surgical Technician for an immediate contract opportunity in Lafayette, LA. This position offers a dynamic environment within a hospital setting, focusing on general surgery and related specialties. Join our team and play a vital role in supporting surgical teams while advancing your professional experience.

Pay Package :

$17 per hour plus an additional $900 weekly stipend. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with 8-hour daytime shifts.

Required Skills :

  • Current and valid Surgical Technician Certification in Louisiana
  • Minimum of 2 years of surgical technician experience
  • Current and valid BLS certification
  • Strong background in General Surgery, ENT, Urology, OB / GYN, Podiatry, and Pain Management
  • Proven ability to assist in a fast-paced operative environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Prior experience working in hospital surgical units
  • Comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures across multiple specialties

    • Other Requirements :

  • Must pass a criminal record check as mandated by state law
  • Shift commitment : 8 hours per day, weekdays
  • No additional license or certification requirements beyond those listed
