Acute Care NP / PA (Night Shift) | Oklahoma City, OK
$134,000 – $142,800 per year (based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Hospitalist Department. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
As an integral part of our hospitalist team, you will assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and complex conditions, providing exceptional care during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and manage evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
- Participate in care conferences, handoffs, and interdisciplinary rounds as needed.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive health measures.
