Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Tampa FL Urgently Hiring We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team full time in Tampa FL.

We have a need for the PA/NP to cover the night shift for a 4 on/3 off schedule.

This role involves inpatient rounding and pain consult coverage for our pain management census.

The provider will work independently and collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff to manage patients’ acute pain needs.

Ideally, the incoming PA/NP has 1+ year of inpatient experience preferred (pain management, internal medicine, hospitalist, or similar), has strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently and excellent communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rounding on inpatient consults for pain management.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, evaluations, and documentation Manage and adjust pain control regimens under the guidance of the attending physician Respond to consult requests, follow-ups, and urgent pain-related issues.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, nursing, and other specialties to coordinate care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records within the EMR Ensure timely communication and hand-off reporting to the day/night team Order appropriate diagnostic tests and accurately interpret test results.

Order interventions for pain management/pain relief independently once training is completed Prepare prescription orders for medications involving controlled and non-controlled substances Communicate and coordinate patient care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary medical teams Triage patient, facility, and pharmacy telephone calls/texts Perform accurate and timely medical record documentation Serve as the clinical expert and resource to other medical teams Qualifications:

• Completion of an Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Valid and unrestricted Florida APRN or PA-C license DEA license with prescriptive authority (or eligibility) 1+ year of inpatient experience preferred (pain management, internal medicine, hospitalist, or similar) Schedule: Full time (4 nights on / 3 nights off) Salary (range): $130k- $150k plus an additional bonus compensation potential Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Life insurance Paid time off/Vacation and Sick days Productivity Bonus: Additional earning potential based on consult volume and performance 4-on / 3-off consistent schedule for optimal work-life balance Supportive, team-based environment Join Our Team!
