Part time 6pm-6 : 30 with rotating weekends.

• 26-bed unit designed to provide treatment, care, and service to adult patients with acute medical, surgical and cardiac conditions specializing in complicated surgeries.
• Patient population will include but are not limited to esophagectomies, whipples, surgical-oncology cases, high-volume liposuction, multi-level spinal fusions, and vascular cases. Other opportunities for this unit will be any surgical patients that require a medication drip that is not appropriate for the medical-surgical inpatient unit.
• This unit will also be open to medical step-down and overflow patients to enhance hospital throughput.
• Direct care of the 2A patients will be provided by registered nurses with an ideal ratio of 1 : 3-4 patients for step down level of care.
