Travel Surgical Technician - OR / Peri Operative Float

Hours 40 weekly 5x8 hour shifts

Shifts Monday - Friday 7AM - 3 : 30PM

On call e / o 2-3 weekdays 3 : 30pm-7 : 30am and 48 hours every 2-3 weekends

7 : 30 AM Saturday to 7 : 30 AM Monday. Must be able to arrive at the hospital

within 30 minutes from the time called.

Duration : 13 weeks

Near Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Our client looking for a full time , day shift (7 : 00am-3 : 30pm) Operating Room Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. We have a collaborative culture focused on positive outcomes, opportunities for professional growth and so much more. Our OR / Surg Tech duties include but are not limited to :

  • Responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
  • Maintaining sterile field during case.
  • Providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures
  • Able to work well under stressful and emergency situations
  • Able to act quickly and accurately

Required Qualification :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
  • Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred)..
  • Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics)..
  • Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Urology. Etc.).
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
