ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned -
  • Maintaining compliance with internal standards, regulations and gaming regulations.
  • Visually monitoring all areas of the property at all times in order to identify possible theft or safety risks.
  • Respond to security calls requiring in depth investigations (i.e. deceased persons, suspicious circumstances).
  • Research and review disputes, locate video evidence requested for investigations by Law Enforcement or other departments and conduct special assignments.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with law enforcement agencies and other organizations pertaining to investigations.
  • Maintaining the highest level of discretion and confidentiality while performing all duties.
  • Conduct internal and confidential investigations.
  • Knowledge of gaming laws, financial areas, property policies and procedures, with a basic understanding of the hospitality and gaming industry.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Perform supportive functions and other duties as assigned within the scope of this job description to be determined by the supervisor based on business needs.


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a track record of performing each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Be able to sit for long periods of time and work in mid-level to low light. Minimum 2 yrs. prior law enforcement or investigative experience required.

Preferred experience: Previous experience and knowledge of Mirasys video surveillance system and I-Trak or equivalent systems preferred. Ability to review, gather and interpret data, make decisions based on the data and document the information. Must have the ability to work independently and in close quarters with others and remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED. A Valid Nevada Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness card required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills. A high level understanding of interpersonal skills to productively deal with business contacts and team members at all levels of the company. Possess a strong attention to detail. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of staff and Law Enforcement. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete reports, correspondence and communicate with Team Members, peers and Management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and calculate figures and amounts.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations in a calm, professional manner. Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills are a must.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours. Effective time management and multi-tasking abilities are a must, a professional appearance is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification (Gaming Registration and Alcohol Awareness Card).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee: must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with team members, Management and others.

Constant sitting, walking, grasping, using computers and keyboard, repetitive use of both hands using wrist motion, eye-hand coordination and visual acuity to be able to view/record/review video. Occasional standing. Seldom pushing pulling, bending over and reaching overhead from floor to 6ft, crouching, climbing, and lifting/carrying up to 50lbs

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is mostly performed indoors in a climate controlled office environment. The noise level in this environment is usually moderate with moderate lighting and temperature. The Team Member will also be exposed to areas in the hotel/casino which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dusty, dimly lit or illuminated. There are also occasional times you will be in outside temperatures that are windy, rainy, snowing and extremely hot.
