We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our restaurant team. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, food preparation, and kitchen operations will ensure that every plate meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi using traditional techniques and modern innovations, ensuring each piece is crafted with precision and artistry.
- Design and develop sushi menus that balance creativity with customer preferences, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trending flavors.
- Maintain impeccable food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food handling, storage, and preparation to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Manage ingredient inventory efficiently, ordering supplies as needed to keep the kitchen stocked with fresh seafood, rice, vegetables, and other essentials.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation for dine-in service, catering events, and special occasions.
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills for slicing fish and vegetables accurately while minimizing waste.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques, food safety practices, and proper handling procedures.
