Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop engaging and safe aquatic programs for diverse age groups. Knowledge of pool maintenance, safety standards, and relevant regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Join our vibrant team as an Aquatic Program Coordinator and play a vital role in promoting water safety, fitness, and community engagement through our YMCA's aquatic programs. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to oversee the planning, implementation, and management of our swimming and water-based activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, coordinate, and supervise aquatic programs including swim lessons, water fitness classes, and recreational activities.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules, maintaining proper safety protocols, and supervising lifeguards and staff.
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and training of lifeguards, instructors, and other aquatic staff.
- Monitor and maintain pool facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Promote aquatic programs within the community to increase participation and engagement.
- Conduct regular safety drills, staff meetings, and performance evaluations.
- Addresses and resolves questions and concerns from parents and students about swim classes.
- Collaborate with other YMCA departments to support community events and initiatives related to aquatic activities.

Skills and Qualifications :
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED : Jeff Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Instructor. Certified Pool Operator a plus. Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Current First Aid.
