Deck Plate Supervisor Coaching And Mentoring

Provide deck plate supervisor coaching and mentoring to improve productivity to required level and drive schedule adherence without compromising safety or quality. Salary for this position is $130K-$150K per year. Position would be at Huntington Ingalls in Newport News, VA.

Coach supervisor on ensuring work to be performed is properly staged and communicated / briefed to assigned workers :

• Setting clear and unambiguous expectations to workers for work progress to be achieved in shift increments. Lead workers to ownership of output and outcomes.
• Ensuring backup tasks are defined and expectations for backup tasks are in place if primary task(s) is(are) not able to make required progress.
• Ensuring clear and unambiguous expectations are set for workers for rapidly communicating barriers and challenges for making required progress and for communicating progress on a half-shift by half-shift basis.
• Ensuring supervisors can effectively lead workers to achieving target time on task and required progress and productivity.
• Ensuring work site conditions are understood by the supervisor and ready for workers.
• Ensuring work support is ready for work and workers, e.g., services, work instructions, tools, and equipment.
