Description : Position Summary

The Gathering Kids After School Coach will work with elementary students to engage them in various planned activities designed to enrich their learning experience while building self-confidence and social-emotional skills. The coach will facilitate activities related to sports, cheer, dance, STEM, art, public speaking, and various career and trade-based topics. Strong leadership and communication skills, a passion for working with children, and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners are needed. This role is vital in fostering a supportive and stimulating environment that encourages students to explore new interests, develop essential skills, and build self-confidence.

The Arts & Crafts Coach leads creative, hands-on projects for elementary students in a structured afterschool setting. The ideal candidate will combine creativity with strong classroom and behavior management skills, maintaining a positive, encouraging, and well-organized learning environment that aligns with Gathering Kids’ program guidelines.

Student Safety & Structure

• Supervise and engage students to ensure a safe, supportive, and organized environment.
• Use effective classroom management strategies to guide positive behavior and maintain focus during activities.
• Follow all program safety protocols, including emergency and communication procedures.
• Report incidents or concerns promptly to the Program Manager.
