The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer who thrives on tackling complex challenges, integrating diverse systems, and designing intelligent, software-enabled solutions to enhance mission outcomes. This role calls for someone who combines strategic thinking with tactical execution, able to transform evolving operational requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

The ideal candidate is adaptable in dynamic mission environments, values collaboration across technical and operational teams, and appreciates how individual contributions impact larger organizational goals. This position supports sensitive national security programs and requires an active Top Secret security clearance. Preference will be given to candidates already holding a CI Polygraph, but those eligible and willing to obtain one are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate excels at solving intricate technical problems with a systems-oriented approach. They understand how various systems, people, and processes work together to drive mission success, and can develop solutions that are both practical and sustainable. Effective communication across engineering, operations, and leadership is key, as is producing technical documentation that supports long-term system sustainment. Identifying opportunities for automation, integration, and continuous improvement is essential, and the ability to remain effective amidst shifting priorities while maintaining focus on strategic goals is highly valued. Professionalism, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to safeguarding sensitive information are fundamental.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph, or willingness and eligibility to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in-person at CACI facilities in Sterling, VA, Sarasota, FL, or Denver, CO.
  • At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, systems integration, solution architecture, or related technical fields.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with mission management applications or enterprise data integration.
  • Proven track record of solving complex technical and operational issues.
  • Experience integrating software applications, enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and distributed technologies.
  • Familiarity with system testing and automated application testing frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.
  • Experience designing or implementing automation for operational efficiency.
  • Advanced technical writing skills, including architecture documentation, interface control documents, system diagrams, procedures, and engineering artifacts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while staying aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated capability to independently prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian Suite tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of War organizations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, JavaScript, Java, or similar programming and scripting languages.
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, message queues, and distributed system architectures.
  • Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering, enterprise architecture, or digital engineering practices.
  • Experience with AI-enabled decision support, advanced analytics, or data engineering solutions.
  • Security+ or other relevant technical certifications.

If you are ready to take on meaningful challenges, collaborate with talented teams, and help drive mission success, we encourage you to apply.
