This position works with the optimization of servers, systems and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported. The Systems Administrator II performs a full range of administration functions in order to control systems and attain maximum utilization and efficiency. The Systems Administrator II will work with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology. This position is a "generalist" by nature, having had exposure to a variety of network and system administration work.Candidates with experience wearing multiple hats and working closely across teams in smaller organizations are highly desirable.We are currently hiring this position in Saint Louis, Missouri. Required Education, Skills and Experience:Minimum 2-4 years directly related experience in an AWS environment.1-3 years' experience with Linux administration and Linux+ certification.1-3 years' experience with Microsoft (Windows) server administration.Experience supporting, troubleshooting and optimizing at least one of the following database platforms: MS SQL Server, MongoDB, ElasticSearch. Experience with scripting (bash, python, power shell).Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Must exhibit strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.Ability and desire to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.May perform work requiring lifting up to 50 pounds and/or physical exertion.Must be able to communicate in technical and non-technical terms depending on audience.
