Overview

Overview :

The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to students with leadership potential and proven academic performance. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.

As part of the R&D Acute Care New Product Development team the Systems Engineering Intern will be involved in develoment activities of the next generation GEM blood gas analyzer. The Intern will have opportunities to build prototypes define and execute test plans run whole blood samples on benchtops and / or full systems analyze performance data develop test methods report on results advise on architecture and other related activities associated with early development work.

Responsibilities

Position Description :

• To perform entry-level lab work data analysis and experimental planning of a routine nature as directed by full-time engineer.
• The Intern will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the team including regular interfacing with other R&D functions such as Hardware Analytical Software and Project Management.
• We expect the intern to gain an in-depth knowledge of the product and its associated processes. The intern will have opportunities to assist in nearly all aspects of the workflow.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position :

The hourly range for this role is $22 / hr to $30 / hr. Individual compensation will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience and grade level completed.
