Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition
Location : Houston, TX Employment Type : Direct Hire Work Model : Hybrid Monday through Thursday (9 hours / day), Friday (4 hours / day). Onsite Schedule : 3 days in office (Mondays required), 2 days remote.
Overview System One is seeking a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to lead and manage multiple recruiting teams that support large-scale engineering operations. This position will oversee recruitment strategy, team performance, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with senior leadership and department managers across technical disciplines. This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX (onsite three days per week, Mondays required).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop 23 teams of recruiting professionals, driving performance, process efficiency, and consistent results.
- Oversee sourcing and recruitment strategies for engineering, project management, and technical roles across multiple disciplines (process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, I&C, project controls, and procurement).
- Partner with department and project leaders to forecast staffing needs and implement effective hiring plans.
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified talent through proactive sourcing, networking, and market outreach.
- Ensure all recruiting practices align with company policies and comply with state, federal, and local employment laws.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party recruiting partners as needed.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on service excellence and candidate experience.
- Provide leadership with regular reporting on key recruiting metrics, sourcing trends, and competitive market data.
- Stay current with trends in engineering, construction, and industrial labor markets to anticipate hiring challenges.
