801 Fish St. Louis is looking for a Host to join our team! If you are an upbeat, social person who has a passion for excellent service and fine dining, and enjoys establishing genuine connections with guests, we want to talk to you!

This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) front of the house (FOH) position working in a team-oriented, high-volume / fast-paced, guest-centric environment with the highest quality food & drink.

In addition to Host duties, this position will also provide table clearing / bussing support to service staff.

Requirements & Expectations :

  • Minimum of 1 year, but preferably at least 2-3 years of host experience in a fast-paced, high-end / fine dining establishment.
  • Must be available to work 4-5 shifts, any day of the week, including evenings, weekends (Sundays required) & some holidays.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to work within, OpenTable and other computer systems.
  • The ideal candidate is a high-energy, detail-oriented professional who enjoys interacting with the public while maintaining a strong sense of hospitality, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, to multi-task, and to maintain focus / memory of information received.
  • Ability to communicate clearly (in person or via telephone) while demonstrating warmth & professionalism to guests in a busy, fast-paced / high-stress environment.
  • Ability to maintain regular, reliable and predictable attendance.

    • Physical requirements include, but are not limited to :

  • Physical ability to work on your feet, alertly, for extended periods of time
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs (bussing duties)
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb and twist
