Auditor, Sr.
This position works under limited supervision and is responsible for conducting payroll compliance and / or authenticity audits, as well as overseeing the overall workflow and accuracy of audit activities. This position requires exercising independent judgement and discretion in the development and implementation of department systems, procedures, and processes to ensure audit activities align with the Plans guiding principles, complies with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for overseeing the overall workflow and accuracy of audit activities in the department
- Works closely with department management to identify audit candidates, manage auditor workload, and track department and individual progress against key performance indicators
- Assists auditors with files, and reviews files for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness
- Conducts payroll compliance audits including, but not limited to, Desktop and Authenticity audits
- Negotiates complex allocation disputes, as directed by management and Trustees
- Presents issues and disputed matters at review committee meetings with Trustees, Plan management, and external consultants
- Liaises with Plans' counsel and external auditors to manage disputes matters, evaluate options, and maximize recoveries
- Identifies and implements process enhancements, and assists with testing system enhancements
- Conducts research from databases and various sources to generate ad-hoc reports, as needed
- Assists in the development and implementation of training programs for department staff
Education / Experience :
Equivalent experience in a multi-employer, Taft-Hartley environment
