What You’ll Do :

  • Be the Tax Expert : Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring every deduction and credit is accounted for.
  • Think Like a Detective : Conduct thorough financial analyses to uncover tax savings and minimize liabilities. Your attention to detail will make the difference.
  • Master the Tools : Use accounting software like QuickBooks and Sage to manage client records and produce accurate returns. Excel skills are a big plus.

What You’ll Need to Have :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience : 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, corporate accounting, or financial sales.
  • Tax Knowledge : Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance.
  • Software Proficiency : Skilled in accounting tools like QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
  • Typing & Tech Skills : Solid 10-key typing ability and overall tech-savviness.
  • Analytical Strength : Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Deadline Focused : Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Sales Mindset : Comfortable engaging in sales conversations and marketing efforts.
  • Clear Communicator : Able to explain complex financial information in simple, understandable terms.
  • Detail-Oriented : Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team Player : Capable of working independently and collaborating with the team.
  • Financial Knowledge : Familiarity with key financial concepts and terminology.
  • Certifications : Active CTEC certification or EA license required, along with a valid PTIN and CTEC registration.
