Roles and Responsibilities :
- Sign, Review and Prepare diversified quality tax returns under the direction of the Senior Tax Manager.
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues.
- Perform technical review of tax returns by assuring all tax returns, work papers, and projects are technically accurate and complete.
- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits.
- Interpret the U.S. Tax Code and research the implications of tax laws and advise clients on tax related issues.
- Communicate directly with clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters.
- Assist with business development efforts including meeting with prospective clients and evaluating clients' needs.
- Supervision of tax accountants, including review of completed returns by junior tax associates.
- Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws.
- Develops and implements staff performance objectives; assists team members in achieving objectives assigned. Trains, motivates, and holds team members accountable on assigned projects.
- Mentor junior team members with a collaborative spirit.
- All duties expected of a tax accountant are expected of this role.
