Job Description :
The Payroll Assistant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees and contractors. This role involves maintaining payroll records verifying timecards calculating wages and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The Payroll Assistant will work closely with HR and Finance teams to support payroll operations and resolve employee inquiries.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or business preferred.
- 3-5 years of payroll experience preferably in healthcare or pharmacy settings.
- Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
