Technical Product Owner Product Information Management (PIM) Integrations

Location: Lisle, IL

Onsite

What You Will Do:

  • Drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for PIM system integrations, focusing on scalability, data quality, and seamless connectivity across platforms.
  • Incorporate internal and external stakeholder feedback to generate features that deliver true business value and improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, UX, DevOps, and other internal or external data providers to build roadmaps that ensure cohesive integration of product data into digital products and commerce platforms.
  • Manage the product backlog (PBL). Define user stories with detailed acceptance criteria that meet a Definition of Ready; participate in daily standups and sprint reviews of engineering work products.
  • Oversee API lifecycle management, including design, documentation, testing, and versioning.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enable rapid, reliable deployment of integration features.
  • Ensure data flows are optimized for performance, security, and compliance using cloud services (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, GCP Pub/Sub).
  • Collaborate with cloud architects to ensure integrations align with enterprise cloud strategy and governance.

Musts:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or similar roles using an Agile software development process.
  • Proven experience with cloud-based system integrations, API development, and data flow optimization.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture and modern integration patterns.
  • Deep knowledge of the retail, eCommerce, or manufacturing industry, including PIM platforms and product data management practices.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Pragmatic problem solver with the ability to break down complex technical challenges into actionable components.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
