- Experience with RFID systems, LPR/ANPR, access control, parking access and revenue control, security systems, IP cameras, Wiegand, RS-232/RS-485, Linux command line, SQL, APIs, network diagnostic tools, remote support, or field commissioning is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities: - We serve as the primary technical contact for customers and partners using our RFID, LPR, software, and vehicle identification solutions.
- We troubleshoot Windows PCs, local networks, Ethernet connectivity, TCP/IP, and network-connected devices.
- We diagnose problems involving IP settings, subnet masks, gateways, switches, routers, cabling, and device connectivity.
- We install, configure, test, and support our hardware and software.
- We investigate hardware, software, firmware, networking, installation, and configuration issues.
- We support RFID readers, License Plate Recognition cameras, access control interfaces, and related software systems.
- We work with communication interfaces and protocols such as Ethernet/TCP-IP, Wiegand, RS-232, and RS-485.
- We perform basic Linux command-line troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- We work directly with customers to understand issues, collect details, and drive them to resolution.
- We reproduce reported problems in our technical lab and create repeatable test cases when needed.
- We determine whether issues stem from our equipment, software, networking, installation, configuration, or the customer environment.
- We escalate qualified technical issues to engineering and collaborate with software and product development teams until resolved.
- We keep accurate records of support cases, troubleshooting actions, and final resolutions.
- We follow up with customers to confirm issues have been resolved successfully.
- We create and maintain documentation, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, technical notes, and support resources.
- We maintain demonstration, testing, and support equipment at our Tacoma office.
- We assist the sales team with technical discussions, product demonstrations, webinars, and customer presentations when needed.
- We provide occasional on-site troubleshooting, product commissioning, and field support.
- We travel occasionally after we become proficient with our products and their deployment.
