Infection Prevention and Control Technical Specialst Job Duties : Consolidate, review and revise Americares existing technical materials related to disease outbreaks, infection prevention and control and health worker safety.
Maintain current awareness of technical and situational developments related to the spread of targeted diseases.
Develop health education materials with an emphasis on behavior change – print, online, and multimedia – for diverse audiences, citing best practices and advice available and refreshing as new insights emerge.
Prepare briefing materials and contribute to talking points regarding the outbreak and response efforts.
Contribute to the development of training materials.
Train Americares clinical care staff and partner healthcare facilities as requested.
Communicate with Chief Medical Officer and Associate Director, Emergency Programs regarding any training materials that need to be procured to enhance training effectiveness.
