Job title- Application Technical Specialist
Pay- $18 / hr W2
Location- Smithfield, RI
Duration- 6 months contract
This position supports a Application technical specialist , handling incoming and outgoing calls related to various technology implementation projects in retail store environments. The focus is on supporting field technicians, contractors, and vendors with first-level technical troubleshooting and implementation guidance—not consumer support.
Key Responsibilities :
Take inbound and make outbound support calls regarding hardware rollouts in retail locations.
Guide field techs during implementations; follow standard support protocols.
Use internal tools to log calls, update ticketing systems, and validate installations.
Communicate updates via email and Microsoft Excel when not on calls.
Work across multiple projects and adjust shift times based on project demands (including evenings, nights, and various time zones).
Attend onsite paid training (5 days a week) in the 8 AM – 8 PM window. Final training schedule will be shared upon selection.
Qualifications :
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in tech support or hardware rollout assistance.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Basic troubleshooting and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred.
IT hardware support / installation experience a plus , but not required.
