JOB TITLE : Technical Writer
REPORTS TO : Production Manager
STATUS : Full-time, exempt
LOCATION : On-site, Signal Hill, CA (Frog Environmental)
SALARY RANGE : $20.00-$26.00 / hr depending on experience and qualifications

JOB SUMMARY :
The Technical Writer will be tasked with writing clear and concise technical information for reporting and regulatory purposes. The ideal candidate will be able to take complex technical information and data, and transform it into clear and digestible reports. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing reports, SOPs, guidebooks, and related materials, and translating this critical information into clear reports for documentation purposes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Writing to provide people with easily attainable data through clarity of text.
- Utilize strong proofreading skills to update / review personal and / or colleagues content.
- Explain complex concepts in writing, demonstrating clear understanding of common processes and procedures.
- Implement and analyze effective word choice, text, and documentation structure.
- Communicate well with other departments to create and deliver a viable end-product.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most of the work is performed in an office environment. Sitting or standing for long periods may be required. Incumbent should be able to bend and move freely, with the ability to lift 10lbs.
