Job description

Senior Sourcing Specialist Technology

The Senior Sourcing Specialist for technology will be part of a global Enterprise Sourcing team, whose goal includes successfully executing sourcing engagements within a broad scope of spend supported by Disney business segments. The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be accountable individually, as a team member, and/or as a project leader for a portfolio of projects spanning from project intake, facilitating RFPs, contract negotiations and execution. The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be expected to leverage cross-functional teams to successfully leverage and contribute to meeting financial budgets and cost synergies. This position may be interfacing with various levels of leadership including VP stakeholders and Sourcing leadership.

Here is what you will be doing as a Senior Sourcing Specialist

Lead or support cross-functional teams through full life-cycle technology sourcing projects including project planning & management, analysis & strategy, supplier evaluation & selection, negotiation, and ongoing supplier relationship management

Develop and apply standardized and rigorous approach to financial analysis related to sourcing including bid analysis, cost savings methodology, and weighted RFP scoring

Create and deliver compelling quantitative analyses and solution-focused presentations that influence key decision-makers

Liaise between Legal, stakeholders, and suppliers to facilitate the contract process, ensure work deliverables and payment milestones are clearly defined, and bring the finalized contract to fruition

Lead internal workgroups and quarterly business reviews to provide guidance, help resolve problems, and effectively communicate to improve process flow and relationships

Nurture stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, helping identify critical business needs and providing sourcing services, both strategic and tactical, that exceed their expectations

Support development of Category Management strategies in coordination with Department leadership

Fostering a collaborative environment among stakeholders and with other supporting teams (e.g., Legal, Finance, Segment-specific Sourcing teams, etc.)

Here are the skills you will need to be successful in this role

+5years of sourcing or related experience, with at least three years supporting the sourcing of for technology including conducting supplier negotiations for, software, cloud services, AI enabled solutions. professional services including implementations, and hardware

Experience leading RFPs, ensuring the stakeholders are providing robust requirements and planning

Experience supporting, and executing against, technology category strategies

Outstanding communication, project updates, and presentation skills

Ability to perform detailed Excel analysis

Strong project management experience

It would be a plus if you had these skills

+7 years of sourcing or related experience, with at least five years supporting the sourcing of technology, professional services, including experience in a leading role in the sourcing of a large-scale IT managed services agreement for a Fortune 100 company.

Experience in the contribution and development of technology category strategies and metrics

Familiarity with, and the ability to leverage, AI tools (CoPilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to supplement and optimize work tasks and research

Internal or external business consulting experience

Experience working for a large managed services provider and in resolving disputes over large managed services IT agreements.

Experience in designing and implementing new processes in a complex environment

Media/entertainment industry experience

Worked for and negotiating with Fortune 100 companies

Coupa or other eProcurement tools experience

Advanced degree; including MBA or JD and understanding of contractual enforcement and remedies as well as pricing analysis and modeling experience.

This role can be based in Lake Buena Vista, FL; Burbank, CA or Bristol, CT.

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $99,900 - $121,900 per year, in Burbank, CA is $104,800 - $128,000 per year and Bristol, CT is $104,800 - $128,000. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
