The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a mechanically inclined Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive Mechanic) to join our Service team in Lakewood, Washington . Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include :

• Diagnosing, repairing, and completing routine maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
• Maintaining effective and consistent communication with the Service Dispatcher regarding ongoing Service jobs, and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Discussing Service job details with customers and communicating a clear understanding of the job scope and repair requirements
• Communicating with the Parts department via phone and email to ensure required parts are ordered, and preparing required parts before visiting job sites
• Maintaining proper documentation where needed, including work order forms and warranty paperwork
• Reporting any safety incidents promptly and adhering to all safety policies

The base pay range for this role is : $35.00 to $43.25 per hour depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Lakewood, Washington.
