Job description

Team Leader - Engineering

Robert Bosch LLC seeks Team Leader - Engineering (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 8101 Dorchester Road, Charleston, SC 29418. Perform component development tasks to support production of electric motors and lead a team focused on the same tasks. Tasks will include component diagnosis, laboratory testing, and product data release. Work closely with both the engineering team located in other locations (US, EU and MX) and the manufacturing team (MOE) in the plant (ChP). Perform CAD-Design of eMotor components/assemblies within the design-kit. Engineering change management according to the RB process. Apply development methods like PE, DRBFM, FMEA, Problem solving, Project management and customer communication including presentations. Support other plant functions such as process development, manufacturing and quality MAE planning and sourcing for testing equipment. Define and coordinate with other plant functions, to perform testing and component diagnosis.

REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience as an Automotive Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Machine Engineer or in an occupation involving design/development of high voltage/power electrical machines from comparable industries (aerospace/heavy industry). Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Automotive component development for production projects; (2) NX, TeamCenter and SAP; (3) Electro-magnetic components (electric machines or solenoids); (4) Electric motor components; and (5) Component diagnosis and laboratory testing. Telecommuting: 2 days per week WFH. Will supervise an engineer and a product development engineer.
