Registered Nurse - Telemetry/DOU/MS Job Description Job Title Registered Nurse - Telemetry/DOU/MS Job Summary Join a dedicated nursing team in Chino, California, providing high-quality care within an acute care hospital setting. This role focuses on patients requiring telemetry monitoring, step-down, and medical-surgical care, ensuring comprehensive support for a diverse patient population. The Registered Nurse will be instrumental in delivering safe and effective patient care by applying the full nursing process, from assessment and planning to implementation and evaluation. This includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and guiding other nursing personnel to maintain exceptional standards of care. Key responsibilities involve vigilant cardiac monitoring, proactive communication with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology, and the ability to respond swiftly and accurately to evolving clinical situations. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Administer direct patient care within the scope of practice for Telemetry, DOU, and Medical-Surgical patients. Educate patients and their families on health management and care plans. Guide and direct the activities of other nursing personnel, ensuring adherence to established standards of care. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly communicating changes in patient's clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology to physicians. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment responses. Required Qualifications Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ventilator management. COVID-19 vaccination and booster status. Skills & Competencies Clinical Skills: Cardiac monitoring and interpretation, medication administration, wound care, IV insertion and management, patient assessment, critical thinking, rapid response to emergencies. Equipment: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (EPIC), Ventilators (preferred). Soft Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written), teamwork, patient advocacy, problem-solving, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
