PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Test Technician in Orlando for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role performs functional, performance, and environmental testing on electronic components and assemblies while supporting test procedure development and failure troubleshooting. You will operate common lab equipment, analyze test data, and partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.

Required Skills

• Familiarity with basic circuit identification and troubleshooting
• Electrical analysis skills, including ability to use a multimeter
• Understanding of electrical and electronic principles (circuit analysis, electronics, electrical systems)
• Familiarity with measurement instruments, test equipment, and test methodologies
• Ability to troubleshoot test equipment and systems
• Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit principles
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and test documentation
• Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment in a lab or academic setting
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Ability to follow safety and ESD protocols in a lab environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated test systems or scripting languages (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB)
• Exposure to PCB-level debugging and soldering/rework techniques
• Knowledge of product compliance testing (EMC, safety, thermal)
• Familiarity with manufacturing test processes and test fixtures
• Understanding of industry standards (IPC, ISO, MIL-STD, etc.)

What You'll Do

• Perform functional, performance, and environmental tests on electronic components and assemblies
• Assist in developing test procedures, test plans, and documentation for new and existing products
• Operate and maintain lab/test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multimeters)
• Record and analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and performance concerns
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to test failures and product defects
• Work with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues
• Maintain detailed test records, logs, and reports
• Follow safety and ESD protocols in the lab environment
