Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Monitor patient progress and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with an energetic team of nurses, PCTs, and charge nurses
• Educate patients and families on post-operative precautions and recovery plans
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
• Apply traction equipment and enforce spine, hip, and joint precautions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact license
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg or Ortho experience
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS preferred
• Familiarity with traction equipment and orthopedic precautions is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio confidently
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication
• Comfort working with total joint and spine patients
