Position Information Hour Position Title Theatre Aide Department Ilfeld Auditorium Department Summary The Ilfeld Auditorium Aide is responsible for assisting the Auditorium Supervisor in performances, workshops, and events. To also assist in the day to day operations of the technical department with responsibility for lighting installation and operation. General Job Description Job description may include technical and specialized duties requiring a high skill level in oral and written communications, critical thinking, initiative, and independent work requiring knowledge of theory, practices and procedures of the assigned area.

• Perform other job duties as assigned Specific Duties Production:
- To be the first point of call for all lighting requirements.
- To provide technical support for performances and events both in the theatre and outside coordinating additional workforce and equipment as required.
- To provide technical support and be responsible for all flying and rigging.
- To maintain records and report where necessary to the Auditorium Supervisor.
- Teamwork: To assist and manage the technical team and volunteers.
- To promote good working practices and maintain high production values at all times within the Department.
Building:
- To undertake basic maintenance duties as required to ensure the work place adheres to health and safety requirements and all staff are informed.
- To be familiar with, and comply with current Health & Safety regulations relevant to the industry and to keep abreast of any changes.
General:
- To understand and adhere to all policies and regulations, be a principal key holder and ensure that the security of the building is maintained at all times.
- To undertake other tasks as reasonably requested to ensure that Ilfeld Auditorium operates effectively.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
• College student at NMHU and classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior and enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours
• Successfully completed one semester at NMHU;
Preferred Qualification:
• Minimum GPA
Experience:
• Work experience in college Preferred Qualifications Technical Skills:
Audio:
- Knowledge of digital & analogue desks & radio microphones.
- Experience of operating theatre productions, small bands and presentations.
- Ability to rig sound systems.
Lighting:
- Experience of rigging & operating theatre lighting including moving lights.
Staging:
- Understanding of theatrical rigging and staging techniques
General:
- Excellent team worker.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
