divh2Massage Therapist/h2pProvides quality, professional service administering massage and body treatments to Spa guests./ppDuties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):/polliKeeps a positive attitude at all times./liliAssists guests with Spa tours, escorts to treatment rooms, and provides general information and directions./liliAdministers massage and body treatments to Spa guests./liliAnalyzes guest needs and adjusts treatment as needed./liliExplains to guests their service and the reasons for the prescribed treatment; suggests home care options./liliPromotes add-on services./liliPrepares and maintains inventory of the massage and body treatment products according to departmental policy and procedures./liliNotifies supervisor if equipment is broken and needs repair or replacement./liliSterilizes and sanitizes all instruments and areas in accordance with applicable laws and regulations./liliMaintains standard treatment times and notifies Spa desk personnel about any upgrades or changes to treatments./liliMaintains standard levels for supplies and linens in the treatment rooms according to departmental policies, procedures, and standards./liliEnsures a pleasant visit for each guest by maintaining professional level of communication and behavior./liliAddresses inappropriate guest behavior in a professional manner; refers situations that are difficult to resolve to a supervisor./liliPromotes and sells Spa product lines by using a prescription pad; maintains established quarterly standards./liliProduces a daily report of treatments performed and any retails sales./liliUtilizes the Spa software program as necessary./liliChecks the appointment schedule after every treatment./liliUses only specific amounts of professional products and advises the supervisor when products are getting low./liliAssists with maintaining laundry levels in treatment rooms and back stock./liliAssists in keeping all areas neat and clean by performing tasks such as picking up towels, cleaning lounge areas, and picking up cups and dishes./liliParticipates in cross-training for housekeeping duties, locker room maintenance, fitness center maintenance, retail maintenance, and desk operations./liliAssists with moving laundry between the Spa and Laundry./liliKeeps personal treatment area to standard when not performing services./liliAssists other team members when necessary./liliPasses all treatment inspections successfully./liliPasses all retail sales goals successfully./liliAttends departmental and Entertainment Enterprise Division (EED) meetings as required./liliParticipates in continuing education programs and training to stay up-to-date with procedures, protocols, treatments, and industry trends./liliMaintains Arizona State licensing and certifications current./liliMaintains a flexible shift schedule and advises supervisor about any changes./liliFollows established safety and security policies and procedures including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions immediately to a supervisor./liliCompletes safety training and keeps certifications current/liliMaintains confidentiality of proprietary information; protects EED assets./liliPerforms special projects delegated by the supervisor./liliPerforms other job-related duties as assigned./li/olpKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/polliKnowledge of massage therapies./liliKnowledge of departmental and EED policies, standards, and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations./liliOrganizational, planning, and time management skills./liliSkill in developing and maintaining good working relationships./liliSkill in working with details./liliAbility to effectively communicate./liliAbility to learn new techniques in the spa industry./liliAbility to work effectively and efficiently at all times, but especially during peak periods./liliAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment to effectively and efficiently respond to guest needs./liliAbility to understand and follow through on written or verbal instructions./li/olpMinimum Qualifications:/polliHigh school or General Equivalency Diploma AND current Arizona State license with a minimum of 500 hours in an accredited massage therapy school./liliMust successfully pass service performance interview requirement./liliMust either possess or obtain valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification within three (3) months of employment./liliDemonstrated track record of reliability, responsiveness, and creativity./liliDemonstrated track record of providing excellent guest service./liliMust be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed./liliMust have employment eligibility in the U.S./liliMust be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid non-gaming license/li/olpPreferred Qualifications:/polliTwo (2) years of demonstrated success in a hotel/resort environment./liliBilingual (English/Spanish)./li/ol/div
