  • Perform installation verification and functional performance testing of building systems.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with owners, contractors, design teams, and vendors.
  • Verify systems meet regulatory requirements and healthcare industry standards.
  • Identify and document deficiencies, track corrective actions, and verify resolution.
  • Support infection control, redundancy, resiliency, and continuity-of-operation objectives.
  • Conduct site inspections and witness equipment startup and testing activities.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, issue logs, and final project documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructability and operational feedback.
  • Support client training and turnover activities to ensure successful project handoff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare commissioning, building systems commissioning, or related construction engineering roles.
  • Experience with healthcare facility infrastructure and critical environments.
  • Working knowledge of building mechanical systems, HVAC, controls, electrical distribution, and life safety systems.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience performing functional performance testing and installation verification.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Healthcare commissioning certification preferred.
  • ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 Commissioning Certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience with power, lighting, and low-voltage systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
