Key Responsibilities :
Climb towers using specialized safety equipment (harnesses, etc.) to access and work on equipment, often at considerable heights.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures when working at heights.
Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment on towers, including antennas, cables (coax, hybrid, fiber optic), connectors, and tower-top equipment , Mounts, RRUs.
Identify, diagnose, and repair problems after completing the installation.
Lift, move, and position equipment on towers, potentially using cranes or other lifting equipment.
Maintain records of work being performed : photos, documents, as built.
Communicate with crew foreman and supervisors, regarding work progress and issues.
Skills and Qualifications :
Good physical condition and stamina and ability to climb towers safely and efficiently
Knowledge of telecommunications equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical principles is required.
Thorough understanding of fall protection, rescue procedures, and other safety protocols.
Ability to troubleshoot and correct mechanical or electrical connections
Certifications : Certifications such as Authorized Climber, Competent Climber / Rescue, OSHA Construction 10 HR Safety Training Card, First Aid and CPR, and RF / EME safety courses, and NWSA TT1 are preferred.
Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
