Job Title : Utility Account Representative I (44928)

Job Locations :   Virginia Beach, VA 23456

Schedule : 40 Hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm

Payrate :   $18.91 / hourly

Job Duties :

• Performing account management functions necessary for accurately maintaining approximately 135,000 utility accounts.
• Auditing account and meter reading histories to correct readings and estimate water consumption as necessary.
• Coordinating mobile dispatch service requests with field personnel and updating accounts to reflect results.
• Using a variety of computer applications to perform research and account analysis.
• Working closely with other agencies and departments.
• Assisting in the management of life accounts, hydrant meters, and waste management billing.
• Researching legal documents and property databases.
• Interacting with customers via email, phone, letter, or in person regarding any account issues.
• Working the exceptions queue from mobile dispatch service orders to update account information.
• Monitoring multiple email inboxes and processing incoming requests in a timely manner.
• Reviewing meter reading exceptions and determining necessary actions to complete billing functions.
• Reviewing billing reports and taking timely actions to bill accounts or referring accounts to the appropriate parties.
