Vice President of Operations

Optimal provides highly automated supply chain services, along with result-driven capabilities targeted at reducing customers' operating and sales expenses. Optimal's business units support a "lower cost to serve" option for the healthcare industry. We provide distribution, contracting and logistics solutions for both domestic US and international markets. We deliver products, contracting services and sales support throughout the United States. The Vice President of Operations leads the end-to-end warehousing, inventory management, and distribution strategies for our medical device portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring that operational processes are compliant with ISO 13485, FDA, and related regulatory standards. The VP will act as a strategic leader, leveraging NetSuite ERP to optimize inventory accuracy, streamline order fulfillment, and drive cost-effective, high-quality logistics solutions.

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the process of Quality and Logistics.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business Administration. A Master's degree (MBA) is preferred

Required Experience

10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role specifically within medical device or highly regulated product distribution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Solid working knowledge of NetSuite ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desired.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, and other related customer and agency requirements
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams; exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Lean Six Sigma or APICS certification is a strong plus
• Data-Driven: A metrics-focused, hands-on operator who can use data to drive decisions.
• Change Agent: Ability to lead teams through change, scaling, and growth.
• Integrity: Uncompromising dedication to quality and regulatory compliance.
