Mechanical Engineer:

  • The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for improving and supporting existing products, driving cost-out initiatives, and providing engineering support to other functions within the company and external customers.
  • This role reports to the VP of Engineering.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with engineering team to establish short- and long-term goals in line with company’s objectives.
  • Direct the creation of engineering documentation of products while establishing and/or improving design standards with focus on DFM.
  • Drive the development process in connection to company’s product roadmap.
  • Support R&D activities by providing mechanical engineering support to R&D projects.
  • Sustain a continuous improvement to reduce product cost and improve product quality.
  • Ensure critical product design information is secure while readily available to users.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (required).

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanical engineering developing and designing electro-mechanical products, preferably electric motors or other rotating components with strong emphasis on the following aspects:

  • Experience managing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience in reliability, MTBF and life calculations of other rotating components like seals, gaskets, etc., Prior experience and proficiency with SolidWorks.
  • Experience with Altium or other electrical CAD systems is a plus.
