Ethics & Compliance Analyst
This position assists the Ethics and Compliance Program in satisfying the seven essential elements of an effective compliance program, including: Assisting compliance officers, committees, directors, and managers Developing, reviewing, and revising compliance policies and procedures Supporting communication systems Developing and delivering compliance training and education Responding to detected offenses Managing internal monitoring and auditing activities Assisting with enforcement of disciplinary standards
Responsibilities mirror the compliance program elements listed above, with emphasis on policy development, communication systems, training, monitoring, and enforcement.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with no prior experience required. Specialized knowledge includes experience in physician inpatient and outpatient coding and billing, training in medical terminology, strong reading, writing, math, and communication skills, knowledge of physician billing and coding practices, understanding of third-party reimbursement issues, and coding certification required within one year of employment. Ability to use standard office equipment is also necessary.
Desired attributes include a bachelor's degree, audit experience, and experience educating physicians.
Information security responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality of passwords and authentication devices, ensuring privacy/security of information, using business assets appropriately, following information security policies and guidelines, and reporting incidents promptly.
Responsibilities and duties include compliance program operations, ethics & compliance leadership committee, and other related tasks.
