Job Title : Assistant Coach(Seasonal) - Men’s Volleyball
Department : Athletics
Reports to : Head Coach – Men’s
Volleyball
Status : Seasonal, Non-Benefit Eligible
Location : Lisle Campus
Rate : Stipend up to $3000 based on the start date of assignment
Position Summary : Assist the Head Coach with the day-to-day
operations of the Benedictine University Men's Volleyball Program.
Essential Job
Responsibilities : 1. Follow
and enforce all NCAA bylaws, league regulations, and university academic and
other policies and procedures.
2. Assist with athlete recruitment.
3. Assist
with the running of practices and practice content.
4. Assist
with scouting and game preparation.
5. Assist
with the oversight and monitoring of academic progress of student-athletes.
6. Assist with scheduling contests, travel arrangements
and ordering equipment and supplies.
7. Provide
periodic administrative assistance.
8. Create and
foster an environment that promotes the overall health and welfare of
student-athletes.
9. Other duties as
assigned.
Required Qualifications :
Education : High School Graduate / GED Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience : 3+ Years working with High Level Club or Collegiate Teams
Specific Skills : Knowledge of High Level Volleyball Systems
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications : Yes, CPR / AED / First Aid preferred
Physical Requirements :
Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun / heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Understand the speech of another person.
