Answer questions, distribute flyers, and direct interested individuals to our Meetup, website, or volunteer applications. Collect sign-ups and feedback to support future outreach. Work with Regional Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, or Board Members to coordinate tabling coverage. Ensure consistent messaging by communicating with our Events and Communications teams. Support fellow volunteers and foster an inclusive environment. Passion for supporting neurodivergent communities and advancing inclusion. Friendly, patient, and approachable when interacting with the public. Comfortable engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and neurotypes. Dependable and willing to follow through on commitments. Lived experience as a neurodivergent individual is highly valued, but not required. Customer service, tabling, or outreach experience is a plus (but not necessary). Flexible, based on event schedules (average 2–6 hours / month). Most opportunities occur evenings or weekends during community events and festivals. Volunteers choose which events they are available to support. Help reduce isolation and build meaningful community for neurodivergent adults. Gain hands-on experience in outreach, tabling, and nonprofit engagement. Connect with a statewide network of passionate volunteers. Represent an organization by and for neurodivergent people . Be recognized as a changemaker in making Minnesota more inclusive.

MNeurodivergent is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing isolation, fostering connection, and celebrating the diverse experiences of neurodivergent individuals across the state. Through social events, sensory-friendly spaces, and inclusive community-building, we create safe, accessible opportunities for people to connect, thrive, and belong.
We currently support multiple communities across Minnesota—including the Twin Cities, Duluth, Saint Cloud, Rochester, Mankato, Bemidji, and more—each led by local volunteers working together to provide affirming, welcoming spaces for neurodivergent adults.
Position Overview
Community Outreach Volunteers are the public face of MNeurodivergent at community events, festivals, and resource fairs. In Rochester, Outreach Volunteers help introduce the organization to new people, share information about our mission, and represent the values of inclusion, accessibility, and neurodivergent-led community.
If you enjoy connecting with others, representing a cause you care about, and helping grow awareness of neurodivergent community spaces in Southeast Minnesota, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
Event & Tabling Support
- Represent MNeurodivergent at local community events, expos, and festivals.
- Assist with setup and teardown of tabling displays, signage, and outreach materials.
