Job Title
The position requires a Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business, or related field (e.g., MSN, MHA, MBA). The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including experience as a director or assistant CNO in a complex hospital environment. Experience leading within a multi-hospital system is also required. The individual should demonstrate effective senior leadership in a complex acute care facility including nursing operations, large teams, and clinical transformation initiatives. They should have the ability to develop and execute innovative strategies while influencing change within a high performing and complex organization. The candidate must be a highly effective communicator with a record of building partnerships with both internal and external constituencies based on open communications, trust, and respect. Proven medical staff relationship building skills are necessary. The individual should have a demonstrated record in using information systems and data to support accountability in clinical and administrative decision-making to include patient safety and quality data, Leapfrog initiatives, patient satisfaction, joint commission compliance, and workforce safety. Strong problem solving and conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to analyze and successfully address complex situations and relationships and act in a decisive manner are required. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to build a highly effective leadership team.
Current Alabama RN licensure (either compact or Alabama specific) is required.
Develops and implements standards of nursing practice and nursing care policies and procedures which ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and which support Infirmary Health System's standards of for patient care and operational and clinical efficiency. Creates an atmosphere that enhances employee, patient, and physician satisfaction while delivering cost effective, accessible, and high quality health care services to the community.
