Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor role is focused on the overarching strategy and operations of the warehouse, working directly under the Warehouse Manager. This role will ensure that warehouse duties are being executed at the highest level. By focusing on strategic planning, operational efficiency, and collaboration, this role will contribute significantly to the overall success of the warehousing function.

Duties / Responsibilities

Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to align warehouse operations with project timelines and requirements.

Align warehouse operations with overall company goals and objectives.

Help establish and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure warehouse efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for warehouse operations.

Oversee multiple warehouse locations (if applicable) to ensure consistent operations and optimal resource allocation.

Oversee warehouse security measures to protect inventory and assets.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership to the warehouse operations team.

Ensure that there is a clear strategy and operational delivery of coaching, training, and personal development to grow their teams' capability to help build organizational bench strength.

Establish rhythm for check-in with team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

3-5 years of demonstrated warehouse supervisory experience.

Ability to manage multiple people and projects effectively.

Self-starter.

Outside the box thinker with problem-solving aptitude.

Proven track-record of commitment to operations.

Excellent leadership traits.

Excellent communication skills.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred Skills

Moderate to high proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Familiarity with ERP software.

Moderate proficiency in warehouse management systems.

Physical Requirements

Communicate with coworkers, third-party providers and vendors.

Moves throughout building and / or worksite.

This role requires inspection of sites to detect safety concerns.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Must be able to adhere to standard operating procedures.
