Work Scheduled : Monday-Friday from 8 : 00am to Finish

Position Summary :

Receives goods onto dock from delivery trucks and transfers to the receiving area. Properly identifies items and validates received quantities. Logs and issues materials to the stockroom warehouse or other designated location.

Essential Functions :

Checks goods received against bills of lading or purchase orders.

Checks goods for damage and expiration dates.

Identifies and accounts for all histamine products (seafood only).

Sorts counts and checks received items.

Maintains required clerical records and completes housekeeping activities.

Operates warehouse equipment as needed to move goods to storage areas and places in designated locations.

Identifies damaged packaging and / or possible cross contaminated products.

Performs returns.

Maintains and rotates cooler and freezer (USDA only).

Inventory control (USDA only).

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

Must be able to read write and communicate in English.

Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.

Ability to operate powered industrial vehicle (PIV)

You are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.

Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells alarms and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up movement or approach of equipment (including forklifts turrets overhead cranes conveyors trucks and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse) mechanical abnormalities and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
