Warehouse picker [h1.location_city]

Carolina International Trucks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our growing team. As a Warehouse Lead you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities leading a team of warehouse associates and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities :

Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates including assigning tasks monitoring performance and providing feedback.

Ensure efficient receiving storage and shipping of inventory adhering to established procedures and deadlines.

Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting regular audits and proper documentation.

Operate and train others on warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and scanners ensuring safe and efficient usage.

Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment promoting a culture of safety.

Identify and resolve warehouse operational issues escalating complex problems to the Parts Manager.

Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing and customer service to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

Contribute to process improvements and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity.

Assist in training new warehouse associates on procedures equipment and safety protocols.

Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or higher preferred.

Proven experience as a Warehouse Lead or in a similar supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including receiving shipping inventory management and safety procedures.

Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and scanners (certifications preferred).

Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and to stand or walk for extended periods.
