ABOUT THE ROLE :
The Sr. System's Administrator responsibility is to develop, implement and maintain the organizations in- house, co-located, cloud, and security infrastructure. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all systems, services, hardware, and software.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Oversees installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, of all networks, servers, and cloud infrastructure components.
- Implements and maintains best practices configurations with a focus around high availability, zero trust security, and least privileged access.
- Collaborates with team members to provide full oversight of all enterprise systems.
- Collaborates with technicians and helpdesk employees to ensure knowledge transfer, training and adequate customer service is provided to stakeholders and end-users.
- Maintains relationships and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure and maintain infrastructure and
- Researches, evaluates, and implements technologies that align with the business needs and compliance standards of the organization.
- Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of infrastructure procurement and development
- Leads technical requirements and implementation efforts for organization-wide projects.
- Manages, monitors, and maintains servers (virtual, physical and cloud), and their associated operating systems and
- Manages, monitors, and maintains all network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless, and cloud components.
- Monitors the daily server and storage area network backups and replication at all CU facilities.
- Understands offsite business continuity and disaster recovery strategy.
- Assesses and mitigates vulnerabilities and risks on all systems and endpoints through update and patching strategy.
- Ensures policy enforcement is holistic in both cloud and on-prem environments.
- Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, and access
- Oversees security hardware and software including anti-virus and encryption solutions.
- Assists various departments when end-user hardwaresoftware problems require advanced knowledge (level 2 support).
- Develops, provides and updates documentation for departmental, auditing, and compliance obligations.
