The City of Peoria’s Water Services Department is seeking an experienced administrative professional to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Planning and Engineering division. This position works in a fast-paced, close-knit team that is responsible for development and management of the Capital Improvement Program, development interaction, project delivery, system planning, and technical support. This position will be responsible for routine administrative duties including purchase requisitions, invoice payments, and budget and contract tracking. This position will also include advanced duties such as performing financial analysis and studies, analyzing and researching grant opportunities, and developing complex spreadsheets and databases.

The ideal candidate for this position will have :

• A minimum of two years performing administrative duties;
• City of Peoria municipal experience;
• A working knowledge of the City’s PeopleSoft Financial System and Bonfire;
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on creating complex spreadsheets and databases in Excel;
• Great attention to detail and organization skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
