Description

The City of Geneva is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. This position plays a vital role in protecting our community and the environment by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wastewater treatment facility. Examples of Duties

Including but not limited to :

• Inspect and maintain all wastewater facility grounds and equipment, including lift stations
• Maintain management of sludge levels in clarifiers
• Document and perform data entry and calculations
• Collect samples pertaining to sludge, raw and final effluent, etc.
• Monitor alarms, resolve as necessary
• Operate thickening and dewatering centrifuges, move / stack biosolids
• Respond to emergency on-call as necessary
• Assist with snow removal operations

Supplemental Information

Hours for this position are 7 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The work primarily occurs at our wastewater treatment facility, but there are times when work is performed within the community, in a range of weather conditions. This position is subject to emergency and after-hours callback, primarily on a rotating basis. Due to this, candidates must reside within a 16-mile straight-line radius of the City's boundaries within one year of employment. You can review the on our website.

The pay range for this position is $34.43 - $46.49 per hour, with an anticipated starting salary of up to $37.45 per hour, depending on qualifications.
